چکیده
Time-frequency analysis in waveform engineering can be applied to many detection and imaging systems, such as radar, sonar, ultrasound improve their Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR). Recently, photoacoustic systems have attracted researchers’ attention. However, the SNR optimization problem for has not been fully addressed. In this paper, one-dimensional of response an input with finite duration energy was considered. This paper eigenfunction approach find optimal various absorber profiles. gains via obtained were compared simple square-pulse pulsed sinusoidal waveforms simulations. Results showed that by using waveform, enhanced especially if wave is comparable time profile duration. The achieve 5%–10% higher than square pulses over 100% sinusoids. symmetry between frequency domains assures similar behavior when temporal durations are too short or long absorber.

Optimal Signal-to-Quantum Noise Ratio for Nonclassical Number States
We analyze the properties of nonclassical number states, specifically squeezed number states D(α)S(z)|n〉, and find their maximum signal-to-quantum noise ratio. It is shown that the optimal signal-to-quantum noise ratio for these states decreases as 1/(2n+1)2, where n is the photon number, from the optimal value as derived by Yuen. PACS 42.50.Dv, 42.50.Lc
متن کاملOptimal signal-to-noise ratio for silicon nanowire biochemical sensors.
The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for silicon nanowire field-effect transistors operated in an electrolyte environment is an essential figure-of-merit to characterize and compare the detection limit of such devices when used in an exposed channel configuration as biochemical sensors. We employ low frequency noise measurements to determine the regime for optimal SNR. We find that SNR is not signif...
متن کاملDesign of optimal polarimeters: maximization of signal-to-noise ratio and minimization of systematic error.
The relationship between system condition and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in reconstructed Stokes parameter images is investigated for rotating compensator, variable retardance, and rotating analyzer Stokes vector (SV) polarimeters. A variety of optimal configurations are presented for each class of systems. The operation of polarimeters is discussed in terms of a four-dimensional conical vecto...
متن کاملDesign of Biological Circuits Using Signal-to-Noise Ratio
Biological computing circuits have a role to play in many synthetic biology applications, such as precision cancer therapy, sensing chemical threats, or control of biosynthesis processes. Actually realizing such circuits effectively, however, has been quite difficult: until recently, neither high-precision prediction nor high-performance component libraries were available. Thus, although many d...
متن کاملSignal-to-Noise Ratio Estimation
Of the many measures that characterize the performance of a communication receiver, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is perhaps the most fundamental in that many of the other measures directly depend on its knowledge for their evaluation. In the design of receivers for autonomous operation, it is desirable that the estimation of SNR take place with as little known information as possible regarding o...
